桂林を訪れました １３： 龍脊棚田 ３

今日は、ヤオ族の村を歩きます。

＜　２．　村を行く　＞

私たちは民家を抜けて、もっと上にある村を目指して歩き始めた。

ここに掲載している写真は１２：２４から１２：３９に撮影したものです。

＜　３．　村の門　＞

多くの民家が集合しているが、上下で村が幾つかに分かれている。

これは、これから登っていく村の門で、風水にかなっているそうです。

この門は清時代の１８８３年に、繁栄と魔除を願って村人３００人が運んで来て造ったものです。

扉の左の武将の胸に陰陽を表す太極図が彫られている。

私は、念願の道教との関連物をやっと見つけることが出来た。

＜４．橋の風情　＞

村人の写真は、ガイドさんが相手に了解をとってから撮影しています。

昼の休憩で、村人が談笑しているのでしょうか。

近くのトン族は橋を共有の建物として壮麗に作るが、ここでも屋根付の憩いの場として使っていた。

この写真以外にも見かけたのですが、昼でも多くの女性は共同で働いていた。

頭のタオルはヤオ族の習俗のようです。

ここでも高齢化が進んでいる。

＜　６．　暮らし　＞

石の門扉のあった村の最上部に来ました。

上の写真：　村の中央を流れる川の上流に共同の洗い場が見えます。

その川の下流では数羽の鶏が、村人の流した残飯などをついばんでいる。

ちょうど二人の女性が洗濯をしている。

右の屋根は杵つき小屋です。

右側に竜の形をした流水口が見える。

杵の後ろの容器に流水が溜まると杵が跳ね上がり上下運動を繰り返す。

昔はここで穀物を粉砕していたが、今は使っていない。

桂林を訪れました １１： 龍脊棚田 １

＜　１．　龍脊棚田　＞

これから、桂林の山岳部にある少数民族の村を紹介します。

ここには美しい棚田と少数民族の暮らしがあります。

今日は、桂林から村までの道筋を紹介します。

日程の概要

訪問したのは２０１５年９月１８日で、平野部は薄曇りでしたが、山は雲で覆われ一時霧雨が降りました。

それでも十分に自然と村を堪能することが出来ました。

ホテルを８：００に出発し、バスを降り散策を始めたのは１１：２０から、村で昼食を取り、バスで帰路に着いたのは１３：４５でした。

上の地図：　桂林中心部から目的の村（龍脊古壮寨棚田）までの道筋。

桂林から龍脊の旅客中心（写真５）まで約８０ｋｍです。

村は山の急斜面にあり、標高６７０から９２０ｍの間で上下に伸びている。

その山頂は標高１２００から１４００ｍあり、旅客中心は標高３００ｍの谷底にある。

龍脊について

この桂林が属する広西チワン族自治区は、名前の示す通りチワン族をはじめ十数以上の民族が漢族と共に暮らしています。

これら少数民族はかつて南下して来て山岳部に暮らすようになった。

現在は各地に定住し、また平野部に暮らす人々も増えています。

龍脊はその山岳部の定住地の一つで、私たちが訪問するのはヤオ族の村の一つです。

この龍脊にはトン族などの異なる民族が周辺に多くの村で暮らしています。

ヤオ族は元来、焼畑と狩猟を行っていた民族で、他の山岳民族もそうですがかつては国境を越えて移動していました。

現在は、定住政策により稲作農耕を行っており、それが美しい棚田の景観を生んでいます。

私は中国南方の少数民族の村を訪れるのが楽しみでした。

かつて福建省の山岳部にある客家土楼を訪れて、強い絆で結ばれ、昔ながらの素朴な暮らしをしている人々に感銘を受けました。

たった数時間の訪問でしたが、彼らの暮らしぶりを紹介したいと思います。

ここで一旦バスを降りて、このセンターで入場手続きをします。

そして各自目的の村まで専用のバスに乗り換えて行きます。

桂林を訪れました １０： 陽朔と月亮山

＜　１．　西街　＞

今日は、漓江下りの下船地、陽朔と近くの観光地を紹介します。

＜　２．　下船地の陽朔　＞

遊覧船を下りて石造りの「陽朔」の門を目指す。

ここを抜けると、直ぐ西町のショッピング街が始まる。

たくさんの人で賑わっていた。

多くは中国系ですが、洋人街と言われるだけあって欧米人も見かけた。

ここは直線の１本道で、距離は５００ｍぐらいです。

この通りの雰囲気は少し変わっています。

ここには中国の仰々しいか古風な店でもなく、だからと言ってモダンでもなく、種々雑多な小さな店が並んでいます。

果物店や土産物店、民芸品店、飲食店が並んでいます。

私は見るだけでも楽しく、妻は果物を買いました。

通りの店に入り、冷たいマンゴジュースを飲みました。

暑い日だったので、美味しかった。

壁一杯に願い事を書いたメモが貼ってあるようでした。

ここはバスで通り抜けるだけでした。

桂林を訪れました　９：　大墟古鎮

途中にあるアーチ型の石積みは防火壁です。

Today, I introduce a historical town of Chinese style.

This town is about 20 km downstream of the central Guilin city and ever prospered in trade.

We visited in 9:20 - 10:20 on Thursday, September 17.

Finally, I introduce an interesting episode.

今日は、中国らしい古い街並みを紹介します。

ここは、桂林中心部より漓江を２０ｋｍ下った所にあり、かつて交易で栄えた町です。

９月１７日（木曜日）の９：２０～１０：２０に訪れました。

最後に、面白いエピソードを紹介します。

Probably, the Daxuguzhen had ever been prosperous with being full of ships, horses and merchants in this way.

実は、中国系の観光客がまばらにいる程度でした。

The Taoism temple had two pillars of dragon carved wonderfully.

An interesting thing is the second-floor porch on the right side.

Person hung a colander from here and exchanged the money and products between the ground in those days.

面白いのは右側のせり出した２階のベランダです。

当時、ここからざるを吊るして地上と商品とお金のやり取りをしていた。

かつてはここで多くの船が荷物の積み出しを行っていたのだろう。

About Daxuguzhen

This place already was a distributing center since the 3rd century B.C.

A waterway linked Pearl River and the Chang Jiang to the north and south, and an East-West land route crosses it here.

About 1100 years ago, this place became one of the 4^th major markets of the Guangxi district.

In China, as the phrase “south ship and north horse” indicates, ship and horse met at this place.

Now, It is deserted, the state of preservation is not good, but there is good point that is not like a sightseeing spot.

大墟古鎮について

ここは紀元前３世紀から既に流通の拠点でした。

水路が南北に珠江と長江を結び、東西の陸路が交わるところでした。

約１１００年前、北宋の頃から賑わい始め、明や清の時代には広西地区の四大市場の一つになっていました。

中国では古くから「南船北馬」と言われ、ここは船と馬が交わる町だった。

今は、寂れ保存状態が良くないが、観光地らしくない良さもある。

Episode

We looked in one house at the end.

In spite of a narrow frontage, the inside overflowed with many Chinese tourists in big merchant's house.

We entered inside, and were surprised by looking many rooms and courtyards and excellent decoration.

As entering furthermore, the mansion became expanse like a maze.

At that time, a young man called to us in fluent Japanese.

We were going to leave hastily, but he detained us.

エピソード

私達夫婦が、最後にある家を覗きました。

狭い間口にも関わらず、中は大きな商家で多くの中国人観光客で溢れていた。

中に入り部屋や中庭の数の多さ、立派な装飾に驚かされました。

どんどん中に入ると、迷路のように屋敷は広がり、私達だけになりました。

その時、若い男性が流暢な日本語で声を掛けて来ました。

私は急いで去ろうとしましたが、彼に引き留められました。

He started talking about he loves Japan and studied in the Japanese university.

His ancestor from Myanmar built this mansion.

Finally we were led to the back room to see family treasures.

However, we retired on the way because our waiting time would come.

The trip is really interesting.

彼は日本が好きで、日本の大学に留学したことがあると喋り始めました。

そして、この屋敷はミャンマー出身の祖先が築いたものだそうです。

最後に、家宝を見せてあげようと奥に案内されました。

しかし、集合の時間が来たので、途中で退席しました。

実に、旅は面白い。

Today, I introduce aspects of a morning in a back street that is near our hotel.

I looked at a side of the development of China.

今日は、ホテルのすぐ裏にある住宅街の朝の様子を紹介します。

そこに中国の発展の一面を見ました。

I took those pictures 7:00-7:30 in the morning of Friday, September 18.

Small restaurants and convenience stores had opened.

On the right-side end of the photo, about ten men sat around a table and were gambling.

小さな飲食店やコンビが店を開けていた。

写真の右端では、十人近い男がテーブルを囲んで博打をしていた。

The people of Guilin city get up until late evening and take a light breakfast in the morning.

There is the custom that they go back home and take a rest and a meal at noon like Siesta of Spain.

桂林の人は夜遅くまで起きていて、朝は外で軽く朝食を取る。

こちらではスペインのシェスタのように、昼自宅に帰って食事と休憩を取る習慣がある。

When I saw this scene, I thought that this was China just the same.

It was dirty and was stinking!

It isn't different from aspect of markets of back streets in Guangzhou, Xian, and Amoy that I visited for 25 years.   

It is very different from the market of Balkan that I visited just two weeks ago.

この光景を見ると、やはり中国だと思う。

汚くて臭い！

ここ２５年間に訪れた広州や厦門、西安などの裏町の市場と変わらない。

つい２週間前に訪れたバルカン諸国の市場とは大違いです。

妻は、市場に面した食料店に入って、日本で食べる物を買った。

私はこの手にいつも気後れするが、妻は気にしない。

Houses are like Buildings made of the brick heaping up as ever.

The apartments are very tall.

The paths become narrow suddenly, and bend sharply everywhere.

It is contrastive with orderly residences of the avenue.

相変わらず、家はレンガ積みのようです。

アパートは結構背が高い。

通路は至るところ折れ曲がり、急に狭くなり、表通りの整然とした邸宅街とは対照的です。

If 1 yuan is 20 yen, the room charge becomes 600 yen per a night.

A master of the fruit shop of a roadside was taciturn.

Afterword

I had visited to China seventh times at this time, and this situation that stagnation is mixed with prosperity everywhere hadn’t changed after all.

１元が２０円とすると、旅館一泊６００円となるが？

道端の果物屋の主人は寡黙でした。

あとがき

わたしは今回で中国訪問は７回目になるが、やはり至る所で繁栄と停滞が混在している。

どちらかというと、繁栄は加速度的だが底辺の暮らしは遅々として良くならないようです。

Today, I introduce the sceneries of Lijiang and the circumstances of people’s living together with it.

In there, a strange world not being in Japan had spread out.

今日は、漓江の景色と共に暮らす人々の様子を紹介します。

そこには日本には無い不思議な世界が広がっていました。

About photography

In the morning of September 16-17, I took a stroll along Lijiang near our hotel.

The range was from Jiefang bridge until a affluent that was a distance of 1200m along the left bank from it to the north.

I photographed these photos in from 6:30 to 7:00.

撮影について

９月１６日と１７日の朝、私はホテル近くの漓江沿いを散策しました。

その範囲は解放橋中央から漓江の東側堤を北へ１２００ｍほど行った支流分岐までです。

写真は６：３０～７：００頃に撮影したものです。

When walking the riverside, I can well know how persons live with the river.

There are persons doing gymnastic exercises or jogging on the bank, person fishing on a raft in the central of the river, and person catching fishes or prawns by a net in the shallows.

川沿いを歩くと、如何に人々は川と共に暮らしているかがわかる。

堤ではジョキングや体操をする人、川の中央に筏を浮かべて釣りをする人、網で浅瀬の魚やエビなどを獲る人に巡りあう。

Thing that is common among three photos is appearances of swimming person.

These persons were swimming along the flow of the river and occasionally gives a big shout.

It was warm morning, but it was cold for swimming.

There are person washing clothes and the person taking a bath.

３枚の写真に共通するのは、泳ぐ人々が写っていることです。

泳ぐ人は川の流れに沿って往復し、時折、大きなかけ声を発している。

暖かい朝ではあるが、泳ぐには寒い。

洗濯をする人、沐浴する人も居る。

These are scenes of weekday morning.

The lively downtown that I introduced last time is this opposite shore.

This city is energetic, but relaxed time flows, too.

There is modern place but also vulgar place.

This continues next time.

これが平日の朝の光景です。

前回紹介した賑やかな繁華街はこの対岸なのです。

エネルギッシュでもあるが、ゆったりとした時間も流れている。

近代的であるが、猥雑なところもある。

融通無碍に生きる人々の国がそこにある。

This time, I introduce a night of the most lively downtown.

これから数回にわけて桂林の都市部の景観や生活を紹介します。

今回は、最も賑やかな繁華街の夜を紹介します。

This shopping district is a pedestrian street all day.

Even as it was weekday, there are a lot of crowds, and the department store also was full.

Tourists of a group and westerners were few, and most seemed to be domestic tourist or local people.

The difference between Japanese shopping streets and this street is few.

I didn't feel this area was dangerous.

ここは１日中、歩行者天国になっているショッピング街です。

平日にも関わらず人出は多く、デパートは満員でした。

団体で観光している人達や欧米人は少なく、国内か地元の人が多いように思えた。

日本のショッピン街との違いはほとんど無く、治安の悪さを感じることも無かった。

8,9:  At 20:09, it is a mooncake shop under the clock tower in a crossroads.

Mooncakes had been sold in everywhere, this shop was abundant in kinds of the cake, and we bought many kinds of it.

When I came to this place, suddenly, I smelled the perfume of fragrant olive subtly.

The name of Guilin was originated in the fragrant olive, I had expected the fragrant olive in full bloom, but unfortunately smelled the perfume only here.

10:  At 20:24, the outside souvenir shops lined in the street from here.

８、９：　２０：０９、十字路にある時計台の下の月餅店。

月餅がいたる所で売られており、この店は種類が豊富で、私達は幾つもの種類を買いました。

この場所に来ると、突然、微かに金木犀の香りがして来ました。

桂林の名の由来が金木犀から来ていることもあり、咲き誇る金木犀を期待していたのですが、残念ながらここで香りを嗅ぐだけになりました。

１０：　２０：２４、ここからは屋台の土産物店が並んでいました。

I wanted to take a picture of this, and I came here, and it was worth it.

But we lost our way after this, and returned to hotel by taxi.

Anyway, it was a big city.

私はこれを撮りたくてやって来ましたが、その甲斐はありました。

しかし、この後、道を間違ってしまい、タクシーで帰ることになりました。

とにかく大きな都会でした。

11: At 19:36, around central high buildings was an intersection with Zhongshan Middle Rd. and Jiefang Rd.

12: At 19:36, there was the biggest bookstore of Guilin in the right side building.

In September 17, I went round two bookstores.

The first bookstore beside Lijiang river was small, but was a inside with a nice atmosphere.

There were many youths who enjoyed reading at tables in the bookstore.

Next, the bookstore in the photo even had the fourth floor.

Unfortunately this store hadn’t put books that I looked for and were written in Japanese and English.

I bought several books in Chinese after all.

In this bookstore, the space and service for children were enriched, and a lot of parent sand children had come.

Both bookstores were so, and these clerks coped kindly when I asked them some questions.

However, because of my ignorance, I kept these clerks long.

Finally, I thanked for it, and left here with a smile.

Thus, our stroll for two days was over.

１１：　１９：３６、中央の高い建物辺りが中山中路と解放路との交差点です。

１２：　１９：３６、右側の建物に桂林最大の書店がありました。

１７日、私は２ヵ所の書店を巡りました。

最初の漓江沿いの書店は小さかったが雰囲気の良い所でした。

書店内にはテーブルで読書を楽しむ多くの若者がいました。

次いで、写真にある書店は４階までありました。

残念ながら日本語や英語で書かれた目的の本を置いていませんでした。

結局は中国語の本を数冊買いました。

この書店は子供向けのスペースとサービスが充実しており、親子がたくさん来ていました。

両方の書店共そうでしたが、書店員に質問をすると親身に対応してくれました。

しかし私の無知と準備不足が災いして、手間を取らせるばかりで恐縮しました。

最後は笑顔で別れました。

こうして２日にわたる精一杯の町歩きは終わりました。
