Once upon a time, a rabbit and a mole lived in a valley.
Beautiful transparent crystals came out of the valley.
The rabbit and the mole gathered it and sold to villagers.
昔々、ある谷にウサギとモグラが住んでいました。
その谷からは美しい透明な水晶が採れました。
ウサギとモグラはこれを採って村人に売っていました。

Before long, the transparent crystals began to decrease and the crystals that impurities mingled with came to remain in plenty.
In this situation, the crystals to sell would have disappeared soon.
やがて透明な水晶は減っていき、不純物が混じった水晶が多く残りました。
このままでは売れる水晶が無くなってしまいます。

One day the rabbit said to a villager.
"You will be able to see brilliant things in this crystal, and this is popular just now."
Thus, the rabbit sold crystals more than ever.
On the other hand, the mole had sold only transparent crystals like always.
Because the numbers of sold crystals decreased, the mole’s living became hard.
ある日、ウサギが村人に言いました。
「この水晶の中にキラキラしたものが見えるでしょう。今、これが人気ですよ。」
こうしてウサギはこれまで以上にたくさん水晶を売りました。
一方、モグラは今まで通り透明な水晶だけを売っていました。
モグラは売れる数が減ってきたので暮らしは苦しくなるばかりでした。

Time passed, one day, a villager visited the rabbit.
" Rabbit! This crystal that you sold is imitations."
The crystal that the rabbit sold came to include more impurities, so the transparency disappeared at last.
The mole said proudly to the villager.
"Only my crystal is genuine."
The villager
" I do not need it, because I cannot trust the stone that came out of this valley."
Then, all villagers never bought stones of this valley.
年月が経ったある日、村人がウサギのところにやって来ました。
「うさぎさん、あなたの売る水晶は偽物ですね。」
ウサギの売る水晶は混じり物が増え、ついに透明さが無くなっていたのです。
モグラがその村人に自慢げに声をかけました。
「私の水晶だけが本物ですよ。」
村人
「いらないよ。この谷で採れる石は信用出来ないからね。」
すべての村人はこの谷の石を買わなくなりました。

" I think Crystal that included impurities is not bad. This villagers have a hard head."
The mole
"If I was right, I thought it would be enough. I was stupid"
They muttered in this way, and left this valley at last.
ウサギ
「水晶に不純物があっても良いではないか。村人は頭が固い。」
モグラ
「私は自分が正しければ良いと考えていた。私は馬鹿だった。」
こうつぶやいて、ついにウサギもモグラも谷を去りました。
