When we go to Kobe, I introduce two shops of the import foodstuff that we drop in often.

私達が神戸に出たら、よく立ち寄る輸入食材の店を紹介します。

Kaldi

This shop is located in Motomachi Shopping Arcade.

It is stocked with Euramerican import foodstuff.

Foodstuffs that we buy are mainly seasoning, and occasionally sweets.

この店は元町商店街にあります。

ここは欧米の輸入食材がよく揃っています。

私達が買うのは主に調味料で、お菓子を買うこともあります。

Kobe Chinatown

This Chinatown verges on Motomachi Shopping Arcade.

There are about 100 of Chinese restaurants, foodstuff shops, souvenir shops, etc.

It is always full of tourists.

This time, we had lunch here.

南京町

南京街は元町通りに接しています。

ここには百あまりの中華料理店や食材店、土産物店などが軒を並べています。

いつも観光客で一杯です。

今回は、昼食をここで食べました。

Hayashi (or Lin) shop

This shop is in the east side of Kobe Chinatown.

It is stocked with the import foodstuff of Asia and developing countries.

I ask for the taste of Southeast Asia, China, and South Korea here.

It is Chinese tea.

These are seasoning or Pho (noodle soup) or coffee of Vietnam.

These are seasoning or curry of Thailand.

These are various kinds of seasoning (such as Doubanjiang) of China or Korea.

Otherwise, these are oyster sauce, spices, and chili sauce of each country.

I buy sweets and instant noodles occasionally.

We cook with these foodstuffs in my house and enjoy a trip feeling.

林商店

この店は南京街の東寄りにあります。

この店はアジアと発展途上国の食材が揃っています。

私はここで東南アジアや中国、韓国の味を求めます。

中国のプアール茶、ジャスミン茶など。

ベトナムの調味料ヌックナム、フォー、フォーの固形スープ、ベトナムコーヒー。

タイの調味料ナンプラー、タイカレー。

中国や韓国の各種ジャン（醤）、スープの素。

他に各国のオイスターソース、香辛料、チリソース。

たまにお菓子や即席麺を買います。

これら食材を使って家で調理し、旅行気分を楽しみます。

International exchange concert between Japan and South Korea in Kobe

その感動をお伝えします。

The concert was held in the big hole of PORTOPIA HOTEL in Kobe on August 23.

l       Dvorak: From the New World

The joint orchestra by the amateurs of Kobe and the professionals of Daegu performed the performance.

The host was a private music academy, Kobe city and Daegu city backed up it, and there are lots of private donations.

概要

コンサートは8月23日、神戸のポートピアホテル併設のホールで行われました。

演目

・     合唱付き演奏でアリラン、他

・     チャイコフスキー：ヴァイオリン協奏曲

・     ドヴォルザーク：新世界

演奏は神戸のアマチュアと大邱のプロによる合同オーケストラが行いました。

主催は民間の音楽学校で、後援は神戸市と韓国大邱市、民間の寄付も多いようでした。

What has impressed me?

At the beginning of the concert, there was several persons' greeting, and then it got me thinking.

The female president of the music academy that had prepared this joint concert over three years spoke with deep feeling, for doing this international exchange by music.

After that, Korea’s consul general stationed in Kobe emphasized in halting Japanesethat this international exchange would become a good harbinger in unhappy Japan-Korea relation.

Now, people feeling gratified with rebuking in website and telling hate speech about neighboring country is outstanding.

I felt a burst of power by seeing the wonderful living among heartless people,

感動したこと

演奏の始めに、何人かの挨拶があり、考えさせられました。

3年かけてこの合同演奏会を準備した音楽学校の女性主宰者は、音楽で国際交流をしたいの一念でここまでやって来たと感慨深げに語られました。

次いで、駐神戸大韓民国総領事はたどたどしい日本語で、憂うべき日韓関係にあって、民間による交流親善は良い前兆になると力説されていました。

巷では、ヘイトスピーチやウェブサイトで隣国をなじって溜飲を下げるが人々が目立ちます。

心ない人々の中にあって、素晴らしい生き方を見せていただくと、私にも力が湧いてきました。

Performance

Korean young woman Yunran Kim played the solo of the violin concerto.

She was really stately and I was fascinated with her force.

The above-mentioned woman president found her for bringing up Korean musician.

Hyuseok Chang of Ascolti Korean Chamber Orchestra of Deagu conducted “From the New World”.

12 musicians participated from Korea all the way and one woman of them took the role of the concertmaster.

Including the Japanese chorus, the level of the performance was high.

韓国の若手女性Yunran Kiｍがヴァイオリン協奏曲のソロを演奏した。

これが実に堂々とし、その迫力に私は魅せられました。

前述の女性主宰者が韓国の演奏家を育てようと、彼女を発掘し援助しているそうです。

新世界は、大邱のオーケストラAscolti Korean Chamber Orchestraの指揮者Hyuseok Changが指揮された。

わざわざ韓国から12人の演奏家が参加し、コンサートミストレスも担当し、コンサートを行った。

日本の合唱団も含めて、演奏のレベルは高かった。

For a finale

There seemed to be a lot of resident South Korean among the audiences.

The players, the conductors, and the audiences of Japan and South Korea were impressed as one at that time.

聴衆には、多くの在日の方もおられたように思う。

日韓の演奏者と指揮者、聴衆が一体になって感動出来た一時でした。

The music is common to the world and has merit that all people can enjoy together(I cannot play).

The joint orchestra of South Korea and Japan played the music of Dvorak born in Czech Republic.

Under present melancholy Japan, it was really refreshed day.

音楽は世界共通で一緒に楽しめる良さがある（私は弾けないが）。

チェコ生まれのドヴォルザークの曲を、韓国と日本の合同オーケストラが奏でた。

今の憂鬱な日本にあって、実にすがすがしい1日だった。

Here is the big bog in a plateau near Lake Suwa

今日は、霧に包まれた湿原を紹介します。

ここは諏訪湖に近い高原にある大きな湿原です。

We entered the bog at 8:00 on the morning of August 11.

It was an unlucky light rain, but many callers already had come.

We took a walk only small area.

I entered a big bog for the first time, and I surprised at many flowers.

The fantastic foggy scene, small colorful flowers, and the shining green leaf by light rain were very impressive.

私達は８月１１日の朝８時に湿原に入りました。

あいにくの小雨でしたが、既にたくさんの訪問者が来ておられました。

私達はほんの一部だけを散策しました。

私は大きな湿原に入るのが始めてで、花々の豊富さに驚きました。

霧に包まれた幻想的な景観、精彩を放つ小さな花々、雨に光る緑の葉が印象的でした。

Yashima bog is a high bog at 1632 meters high, and is located in the northwestern part of Mount Kirigamine.

This bog is 430000 square meters.

八島湿原は八ヶ岳中信高原国定公園・霧ヶ峰の北西部に位置する標高約1632mの高層湿原です。

湿原の広さは４３００００㎡あります。

I introduce you to a hot spring of Chino-shi, Nagano.

We took a morning bath in an unexpected turn of events.

I enjoyed a feeling of relaxation by it.

長野県茅野市の温泉を一つ紹介します。

ひょんなことから朝風呂に入りました。

ほっとした一時でした。

The reason that I entered this hot spring

In order that we see a grandchild’s recital, we were scheduled to go to Nagano prefecture.

However, we had to cross Akashi strait Bridge hastily by night because typhoon 11 had approached.

And we drove all night, taking a nap in some service areas, and reached Lake Suwa service area early in the morning.

In this neighborhood, a hot spring that we can take a bath early from 7:00 a.m. was only “kappa's hot spring”.

It is the place of around 25 minutes by car from Lake Suwa service area.

I intended to be the earliest visitor, but several persons had already taken a bath.

The structure of the hot spring was new, and it was clean.

While I had been taking the open-air bath along with getting sunlight of the morning and breathing mountain air, my fatigue seemed to melt.

温泉に入ったいきさつ

私ら夫婦は孫の発表会を見るために長野県に行く予定でした。

しかし台風11号が迫って来たので、急いで明石海峡大橋を夜までに渡らなければならなくなりました。

そしてサービスエリアで仮眠を取りながら夜通し走り、朝早く諏訪湖SAに到着しました。

この辺りで、一番早く朝７時から入れるのが、この「河童の湯」でした。

諏訪湖SAから車で２５分ぐらいの所です。

一番早く入ったつもりでしたが、既に数人が入浴していました。

温泉の造りは新しく、清潔感がありました。

朝の陽光を浴び、山間の空気を吸いながら露天風呂に入っていると疲れが溶けていくようでした。

About kappa's hot spring

Because it was rainy all morning in that day because of a typhoon, I took photographs on the next day.

This hot spring is halfway through a road leading to Lake Shirakaba and is in Yukawa village leaving a traditional feature in foot of a mountain.

河童の湯について

台風の為、この日の午前中は雨だったので、写真は次の日に撮りました。

この温泉は白樺湖に行く途中にあり、昔ながらの面影を残す山裾の村（湯川区）の中にあります。

It was built at 60 years or more ago, and it began from the public bathhouse of the village at first.

Suwa city and Chino city of Nagano have some hot spring and some public bathhouse.

The hot spring is water-clear (alkaline simple hot water) and the fountainhead temperature is 56℃.

The charge is 400 yen per one adult..

The origin of the name of this hot spring is from a folktale that Kappa was living in this river Yukawa.

Kappa is a mythical being, a good swimmer, and was usually seen as mischievous troublemakers or trickster figures.

Some trees of splendid Japan cedar of this shrine had a mark of “On-bashira”.

Are these used for the pillar of a festival or shrine pavilions?

I had a good time in an unexpected way.

建設されたのは６０年以上前で、最初、村の共同浴場から始まった。

長野県の諏訪市や茅野市は温泉や共同浴場が他にもあります。

温泉は無色透明（アルカリ性単純泉）で源泉温度は５６℃です。

料金は大人４００円です。

この温泉の名前の由来は、この湯川に河童が住んでいたと言う伝承があったからです。

河童は伝説上のもので、泳ぎが上手く、通常いたずら好きなトラブルメーカーと見なされます。

この神社の幾本かの立派な杉の木には御柱の印がありました。

これらは祭りか社殿の柱に使われるのでしょうか？

思わぬ良い一時を過ごしました。

About my blog

Most of articles are history, history of human and trips.

Then there is the introduction of Awaji Island, the opinion to society or current affairs, and the fable (social criticism).

There are many unfunny or boredom articles, nevertheless many people have visited my blog, and then I deeply appreciate.

I modify English sentence based on automatic translation in own way.

Two years has passed and I seem to be able to write English a little.

However, I deeply regret not to enough understand English articles of the overseas blog.

私のブログについて

記事の多くは歴史・人類史と旅行です。

他に社会や時事問題への意見、寓話（社会批判）、淡路島の紹介もあります。

あまり一般受けしない記事が多いので恐縮しています。

英語は自動翻訳をベースに、自分なりに修正を加えています。

2年が経ち、少しは英語が書けるようになった気がします。

しかし、まだまだ海外ブログの英語を理解出来ず、苦々しい思いをしています。

What I understood by doing it

I recently knew that the reaction to article had greatly varied in each blog site.

If current affairs are dealt with, the number of accesses of the domestic blog will easily go up.

However, the difference of the number of the access greatly varied in each blog site, when I criticize the war and the government.

In addition, the avid criticism against my article is from a lot of right wing, but the approbation against it is few comparatively.

I feel that something is strange.

It was good to put in English translation with effort after all.

The visitor to the blog became 85 nations in the world.

All the people exchanging opinions are proficient in English.

I am regrettable that I have not the ability to do it although there is a countless language in the world.

やっていてわかったこと

ブログによって記事への反応が大きく異なることを知りました。

時事問題を扱うと、国内ブログのアクセス数は上がり易い。

しかし戦争や政府を批判すると、ブログによってアクセス数に差が出来ます。

また記事への非難は圧倒的に右派からが多く、不思議なことに左派からの賛同もありません。

何か不思議な感じがします。

やはり英語訳を苦労して入れたことは良かった。

ブログへの訪問者は世界85ヵ国になりましたが、意見交換する人は皆英語が堪能です。

世界には無数の言語があるのに、私が出来ないばかりに残念です。

Episode of the overseas

When I treated the Buddha statue of fearful face, an African commented the sense of incongruity about "God of a fearful expression”.

I noticed the specialty of the Japanese culture at that time.

When I described how the bullying of Japan was severe, an American taught the present condition of U.S. bullying, and I was ashamed to my shortage of study.

When I treated Asura statue, an Indian taught me carefully about Hindu God of the origin.

When I treated the statue of Olmec civilization in Mexico, a British archaeologist introduced me to the related article kindly.

At one time, an American Republican Party backer put in assistive comment "If something happen in Japan, our country will help".

When I introduced Hokuriku, there were many visits from France.

In this way, I am connecting with the world, and I am taught and my horizon spreads.

海外とのエピソード

怖い顔の仏像を扱った時、アフリカの人が「怖い表情の神」への違和感をコメントで書き込まれました。

日本文化の特殊性にハット気づかされた瞬間でした。

日本のいじめが酷い状況と記したら、米国の人が米国のいじめの現状を教えてくれ、私の勉強不足に恥じた次第です。

阿修羅像を扱った時、インドの人が、由来のヒンドゥー神について丁寧に教えてくれました。

メキシコのオルメカ文明の神像を扱った時、英国の考古学者が親切に関連記事を紹介してくれました。

ある時、米国の共和党支持者が「日本に何かあったら助ける」と支援のコメントを入れていただきました。

北陸を紹介するとフランスから、トルコを紹介するとロシアからたくさんの訪問がありました。

こうして世界と繋がり、教えていただき、私の視野が広がっていきます。

I am chased by writing my blog, and hectic day continues now.

However, it is worthwhile, there is hundreds of visitors every day and I keep trying.

I announce more attractive helpful articles at home and abroad, and will aim at making help that domestic and foreign people can understand together in future.

A hot spring and a roadside station in Awaji island

Today I introduce you to a hot spring and a roadside station in the northern edge of Awaji island.

今日は、淡路の最北端にある温泉と道の駅を紹介します。

The hot spring “ village Matuho”

It is a hot spring on the hillside in northern edge of Awaji island.

This maximum charm is to be able to look at Akashi Strait Bridge and the strait from an open-air bath.

It is good to be soaking in a bathtub along with looking at the ship that goes back and forth leisurely.

There are a restaurant and a souvenir shop in this hot spring.

美湯・松帆の郷

ここは淡路島の北端に突き出した山の中腹にある温泉です。

ここの最大の魅力は露天風呂から明石海峡大橋と海峡を眺められることです。

のんびり行き交う船を見ながら湯船に浸かるのは良いものです。

この温泉にはレストランと土産物屋店があります。

The roadside station “Awaji”

This view from here is also good, because this roadside station is just beside the biggest bridge. 

There are a restaurant, a souvenir shop, and a seafood shop in it.

This restaurant serves Japanese-style and western-style meals.

Recently, our liking is the bowl of rice topped with sashimi in the seafood shop.

In the back of the shop, there is live-box that sharp-toothed eel, octopus and other fishes swim in.

I took a fancy for eating fresh delicacies of the sea at ease.

ここは明石海峡大橋の直ぐ横にある道の駅で、ここからの明石海峡と大橋の眺めも良い。

ここにはレストラン、土産物店、海鮮丼店があります。

レストランの海峡楼には和洋食が揃っています。

最近、私達夫婦が気に入っているのは海鮮丼の海鮮館です。

この店の裏には生け簀があり、ハモやタコ、魚が泳いでいます。

気軽に新鮮な海の幸を食べられるのが気に入っています。
